Car
If you are driving, start your journey from the town of Gyöngyös. Head east on Route 24 towards Eger. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit toward Egerszalók. Follow the signs for Egerszalók, and you will arrive in the town in about 20 minutes. Look for signs directing you to the main attractions as you approach the village.
Public Transportation
To reach Egerszalók via public transportation, start at the Gyöngyös bus station. Take a bus heading toward Eger; these buses run frequently throughout the day. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Eger bus station, transfer to a local bus heading to Egerszalók. The local bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance to ensure a smooth connection.
Walking
If you're already in Eger, you can walk to Egerszalók. Start at the Eger city center and head south towards the Eger Valley. Follow the main road (Route 24) for about 5 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views along the way. The walk will take approximately 1 hour, and you will be greeted by the beautiful landscapes of the Matra Mountains.
