Car
If you are driving, start from any point in Mátra and navigate towards Budapest. Use the M3 motorway, which connects you directly to Budapest. Upon reaching the city, follow signs to District V. Once in the district, look for Falk Miksa utca. The Columbo Statue is located at Falk Miksa u. 1055, near the Hungarian National Museum. There is limited street parking available in the area, so be prepared to find a parking spot nearby and walk a short distance to the statue.
Public Transportation
To reach the Columbo Statue using public transport, take a bus or train from Mátra to Budapest. Depending on your starting location, you can take a bus to Gyöngyös and from there take a train on the MÁV line to Budapest's Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station). From Nyugati Pályaudvar, you can take tram line 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér and get off at the 'Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Falk Miksa utca where the statue is located. Alternatively, you can take metro line M2 from Deák Ferenc tér to Astoria and transfer to tram line 47 or 49, which will also take you close to the statue.
