Rózsika Spring: A Serene Nature Escape in Solymár

Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards the village of Solymár from any location in the Mátra region. The most common route is to take Route 2 (E77) towards Budapest. Merge onto Route 10 at the junction. Continue on Route 10 until you reach Solymár. Once in Solymár, look for signs directing you to the Rózsika spring area. There is parking available nearby, but make sure to arrive early, especially on weekends, as it can get crowded.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from the nearest town or city in the Mátra region to Budapest. Once in Budapest, switch to the suburban train (HÉV) line that goes to Pilisvörösvár. Get off at the Solymár station. From there, you can either walk or take a local bus to reach Rózsika spring. The walk from the station is about 2 km; follow the signs towards the nature preserve. Ensure to check the HÉV schedule ahead of time, as services may vary.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Solymár, Rózsika spring is accessible via walking trails. From the center of Solymár, head northwest towards the hills. Look for trail markers for the nature preserve. The walk will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your pace, and it’s advisable to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be uneven.
