Enchanting Steps at Ferde-vízesés/Tündér lépcső

Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, take the main road towards Hosszúhetény. From Pécs, drive southeast on Route 58 until you reach the roundabout in Hosszúhetény. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Kossuth Lajos utca (Route 58). Continue straight until you see signs for the Ferde-vízesés/Tündér lépcső. There is a small parking area close to the entrance where you can park your car. Please note that parking may be limited during peak tourist seasons.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer using public transportation, take a bus from Pécs to Hosszúhetény. Buses are operated by Volánbusz and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Check the Volánbusz timetable for specific departure times. Once you arrive in Hosszúhetény, follow signs toward the Ferde-vízesés/Tündér lépcső, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. Be mindful of the terrain as the path can be uneven.

• Hiking

  For those who enjoy hiking, you can start from the nearby trailheads in the Mecsek Mountains. There are marked trails leading to Ferde-vízesés/Tündér lépcső. Make sure to carry a map or use a GPS, as some trails can be less marked. The hike can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours depending on your starting point and pace. Wear appropriate footwear and bring water, as the trails can be steep and rugged.
