Public Transport - Bus
From the center of Miskolc, head to the Miskolc Bus Station (Miskolc autóbusz-állomás). You can take bus line 12 or 14 towards Lillafüred. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Lillafüred stop. From there, follow the signs towards Szeleta-barlang, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill. The path is marked with signs, and you will pass through a beautiful forested area. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be uneven.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from the center of Miskolc, start at the Miskolc Town Hall (Miskolc Városháza) and head towards the Lillafüred area. Follow the main road (Kossuth Lajos utca) leading north. Continue straight until you reach the Lillafüred area. The total distance is about 8 kilometers and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. As you approach Lillafüred, look for signs directing you to Szeleta-barlang. The last part of the journey involves a steep incline, so be prepared for a bit of a hike.
Bicycle Rental
You can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Miskolc. Start your journey by cycling towards Lillafüred via the main road. The ride is about 8 kilometers and will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on your speed. Once you arrive in Lillafüred, park your bicycle at a designated area and follow the walking path towards Szeleta-barlang, which is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill.
