Getting There

• By Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Tokaj using the main roads. From Miskolc, take Route 37 south towards Szerencs, then merge onto Route 38 heading towards Tokaj. Follow the signs to Tokaj, and once you reach the town, navigate to Bethlen Gábor út 7, where the Tokaj Museum is located. There is parking available nearby, but be aware of any local parking regulations. The drive from Miskolc takes approximately 1 hour.

• By Train

  To reach Tokaj by train, take a train from major cities in Northern Hungary such as Miskolc or Nyíregyháza. Check the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) website for schedules. Once you arrive at Tokaj train station, it's about a 15-minute walk to the museum. Exit the station and head south on Fő utca until you reach Bethlen Gábor út, then turn left. The museum will be on your right. Train tickets typically cost around 1,000-2,000 HUF depending on your starting location.

  Buses are another option for reaching Tokaj. From cities like Miskolc or Szerencs, you can take a regional bus to Tokaj. Check the local bus schedules for exact times. The bus will drop you off at the main bus station in Tokaj, which is about a 10-minute walk from the museum. From the bus station, head north on Fő utca, then turn right onto Bethlen Gábor út.
