Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Nyírség, head southwest on Kossuth Lajos utca towards Széchenyi utca. Continue on Kossuth Lajos utca for about 3 km until you reach the junction with Route 4. Take the ramp onto Route 4 towards Budapest. Stay on Route 4 for approximately 200 km. Merge onto M3 motorway heading to Budapest. Continue for about 40 km and take the exit for Budapest, then follow signs for Kós Károly street. The Lake of the City Park will be on your right as you approach the park area.

  • Public Transportation

    Start by taking a local bus or train from Nyírség to Budapest. You can take the bus from the Nyírség bus station to Budapest Nepliget bus station. Upon arrival in Budapest, head to the nearest metro station and take Metro Line 2 (Red Line) towards Déli Pályaudvar. Get off at the Széll Kálmán tér station. From there, transfer to tram Line 61 or 59 and ride until you reach the Kós Károly street tram stop. The Lake of the City Park will be a short walk from there.
