  • Car

    If you are traveling by car from the Pilis Mountains, start by heading towards the nearest main road, often the 10 or 11. Follow signs for Budapest. Once you reach Budapest, take the M1 or M7 highway depending on your entry point. Continue towards the city center and follow signs for the City Park (Városliget). Once you are near the park, look for signs for the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden located at Állatkerti krt. 6-12, 1146 Budapest. There is parking available near the zoo, but be aware that parking fees will apply, typically ranging from 300 HUF to 600 HUF per hour.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden using public transportation, first find your way to a nearby train or bus station in the Pilis Mountains. Take a train to Budapest Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station). From Nyugati, you can take metro line M3 (blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Get off at the stop called 'Nyugati pályaudvar' and transfer to tram line 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. After 3 stops, get off at 'Városliget' (City Park). The zoo is just a short walk from the tram stop, follow the signs towards Állatkerti krt. Note that a single ticket for public transport costs around 350 HUF.
