Walking
From the center of Salgotarjan, start at the main square (Fő tér). Head southeast on Fő utca towards Kossuth Lajos utca. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lázár deák utca. Turn right onto Lázár deák utca. Follow this road as it curves left and becomes Bányász utca. Walk until you reach the sign for the Boszorkány-kő trailhead, which will be on your left. The trailhead is marked and leads directly to Boszorkány-kő, approximately a 30-minute hike uphill.
Public Transport
From Salgotarjan's main train station (Salgótarján Vasútállomás), take bus number 1 towards the Központi Kórház. Get off at the 'Köztársaság úti megálló' stop. From there, head towards the Boszorkány-kő trailhead by walking southeast along Köztársaság utca, which will connect to the Bányász utca. Follow the signs to the trailhead, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Once you reach the trailhead, follow the marked trail to Boszorkány-kő.
Cycling
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from a local shop in Salgotarjan. Start at the main square (Fő tér) and head southeast on Fő utca. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with Lázár deák utca. Turn right and cycle along Bányász utca, following the signs to the Boszorkány-kő trailhead. The cycling route is about 3 km and will take approximately 15 minutes. Park your bike at the trailhead and hike the remaining distance to Boszorkány-kő.
