Car
If you are driving from cities in the Southern Great Plain like Szeged or Kecskemét, take the M5 motorway towards Budapest. Ensure you have a vignette for the motorway, which can be purchased at gas stations or online. Once you approach Budapest, follow signs for 'Budaörs' and then take the exit for 'Központ' to enter the city. Keep left to stay on the road that leads to the city center. After merging onto Üllői út, follow it until you reach Pollack Mihály tér in District VIII. The Esterházy Palace is located at Pollack Mihály tér 4. Parking is available nearby, but it may incur a fee depending on the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Esterházy Palace using public transport, start by taking a train from major cities in the Southern Great Plain like Szeged or Kecskemét to Budapest. Trains depart frequently and you can check schedules on the Hungarian Railways website. Once you arrive at Budapest's Nyugati or Keleti railway stations, you can take Metro Line 2 (the red line) towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at the Blaha Lujza tér station, then transfer to tram line 4 or 6, which you can take to the Király utca stop.
