    Bus

    From Tatabánya, walk to the nearest bus stop, 'Tatabánya, Vasútállomás'. Take bus number 8 towards 'Budapest, Kálvin tér'. This bus will take you to Budapest in about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Kálvin tér, switch to metro line 3 (the blue line) in the direction of 'Újpest-Központ'. Get off at 'Deák Ferenc tér', where you will transfer to metro line 1 (the yellow line) towards 'Vörösmarty tér'. Get off at 'Vörösmarty tér' and walk towards the Danube river. From there, take a left onto 'Váci utca', and then turn right onto 'Vadász utca'. The Cat Museum will be on your left at number 26.

    Train

    Start at Tatabánya train station. Catch a train to Budapest Déli station. The journey takes about 40-50 minutes. Upon arrival at Budapest Déli, exit the station and head towards the tram stop outside. Take tram number 61 towards 'Budapest, Széll Kálmán tér'. Get off at the 'Móricz Zsigmond körtér' stop, and transfer to metro line 4 (the green line). Travel towards 'Keleti pályaudvar' and get off at 'Deák Ferenc tér'. From there, transfer to metro line 1 (the yellow line) towards 'Vörösmarty tér'. Get off at 'Vörösmarty tér', then walk towards 'Váci utca', turn right onto 'Vadász utca', and you will find the Cat Museum at number 26.
