Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Tatabanya, head to the Tatabanya train station. Once there, purchase a train ticket to Budapest. The train ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Budapest's Nyugati Pályaudvar station, exit the station and head towards the tram stop located outside the station. Take tram line 4 or 6 in the direction of 'Móricz Zsigmond körtér'. Stay on the tram for about 5 stops until you reach 'Fővám tér'. After getting off, you will see Fővám Square directly in front of you.

  • Bus

    Start at the main bus terminal in Tatabanya. Take a bus heading towards Budapest. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour and may drop you off at various locations in Budapest. If you arrive at the Nepliget bus station, you can transfer to the metro. Take the M3 metro line towards 'Kőbánya-Kispest' and change at 'Deák Ferenc tér' to the M2 line towards 'Örs vezér tere'. Get off at 'Kossuth Lajos tér' and walk to 'Fővám tér', which is about a 10-minute walk.

  • Train and Metro

    Make your way to the Tatabanya train station and board a train to Budapest. Upon arrival at Budapest's Keleti station, follow the signs to the metro. Take the M2 metro line towards 'Déli pályaudvar' and get off at 'Kossuth Lajos tér'. From there, exit the metro station and walk towards Fővám tér, which will take about 15 minutes on foot.
