Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Vác, head south on Széchenyi utca towards the Danube River. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront, where you will see a scenic promenade. Turn left and walk along the riverbank. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see a bridge. Cross the bridge to get to Szentendrei island. Once you reach the island, follow the path leading to the bus station, where you can catch a bus to Budapest. The bus will take you to the city center. Once you arrive in Budapest, exit the bus and walk towards Fővám tér, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

  • Bus

    Starting from Váci bus station, take the bus number 120 or 140 towards Budapest. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the bus stop at Kálvin tér. From Kálvin tér, exit the bus and walk towards the Danube River. Head west along Kálvin tér and turn left onto Fővám tér. You will find Fővám Square ahead. This route is straightforward and will take around 10-15 minutes once you arrive in Budapest.

  • Train

    From Vác train station, board a train heading towards Budapest. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station) in Budapest, exit the station and take tram number 4 or 6 from the tram stop near the station. Ride the tram for a few stops until you reach Fővám tér. The tram ride should take around 15 minutes, and Fővám tér will be directly in front of you as you get off.
