Public Transport
From Tatabánya, walk to the Tatabánya train station. You can take the train to Pannonhalma directly, which usually operates several times a day. Make sure to check the train schedule on the Hungarian State Railways website for the latest timings. Once you arrive at Pannonhalma station, exit the station and follow the signs towards Vár 1. It's about a 15-minute walk uphill to the Pannonhalma Archabbey.
Walking
If you are already in the center of Tatabánya, start by heading towards the main road, Bartók Béla út. Follow this road until you reach the bus station. From there, you can catch a local bus heading towards Pannonhalma. Once you get off at the bus stop in Pannonhalma, the Archabbey is a short walk away. Follow the signs leading you to Vár 1.
Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle in Tatabánya and take the scenic route to Pannonhalma. Head towards the outskirts of Tatabánya on the main road. Follow the signs for Pannonhalma, which is about 12 km away. The route is mostly flat and offers beautiful views of the countryside. Once you arrive in Pannonhalma, park your bicycle at the designated area near the Archabbey.
