From Tatabánya, head to the Tatabánya bus station (Tatabánya autóbusz-állomás). Take a bus to Budapest, which runs frequently. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Budapest bus terminal (Budapest Népliget), exit the terminal and look for the metro station (M2 - red line). Take the metro towards Déli pályaudvar.

After about 10 stops, get off at the 'Oktogon' station. When you exit the metro, you will find yourself at Oktogon square, which is a major intersection in Budapest. This is your destination. The Oktogon is surrounded by various cafes, shops, and landmarks, and is a great place to start exploring the city.

If you prefer to walk, from the Tatabánya town center, head towards the main road, and locate the railway station. From there, take a train to Budapest Nyugati station. Upon arriving at Nyugati, follow the signs to the metro station and take the M3 (blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Transfer at 'Deák Ferenc tér' to the M2 (red line) and head towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at 'Oktogon' station to reach your destination.
