From any location in Transdanubia, take the M1 or M7 motorway towards Budapest. Follow signs for Budapest and merge onto the M0 ring road. Continue on M0, then take the exit toward the M1 motorway. Follow signs for the Buda side of Budapest. As you approach the city, follow the signs for 'Buda Castle' or 'Vár' (Castle). You may park at one of the nearby parking facilities, such as the 'Clark Ádám tér' parking, which usually incurs a fee of around 500 HUF/hour. From the parking area, it's a short walk to Szent György tér, where Buda Castle is located.

If you're traveling by public transportation, first head to the nearest train station in Transdanubia and take a train to Budapest's Nyugati or Déli station. From Nyugati, board tram number 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. Change at Széll Kálmán tér and take the bus number 16, which will take you up to Buda Castle. Disembark at 'Szent György tér' bus stop. The entire journey may cost around 700 HUF for a single ticket.
