Car
If you are traveling by car from Transdanubia, you will typically take the M1 or M7 motorway towards Budapest. Once you reach Budapest, follow the signs to the city center and then to Buda. Use the exit for 'Szent Gellért tér', which will lead you toward the Buda side of the city. Continue on Gellért Hill Road and follow the signs to Szent György tér. Parking is available near Buda Castle, but be prepared for potential fees, which can range from 300 HUF to 600 HUF per hour.
Public Transportation (Train and Bus)
To reach Buda Castle via public transportation, first take a train from any major station in Transdanubia (like Székesfehérvár or Veszprém) to Budapest. Arriving at the Budapest Nyugati Railway Station, exit and look for the M3 metro line. Take the metro towards Kőbánya-Kispest and get off at Deák Ferenc tér. From there, transfer to the tram line 2 and get off at the 'Dózsa György tér' stop. Finally, take bus number 16 towards 'Móricz Zsigmond körtér' and get off at 'Szent György tér', which is right at Buda Castle. The total transportation cost will be around 1,500 HUF for a single train and metro ticket, with additional costs for tram and bus rides.

If you prefer to travel directly by bus, check for long-distance buses from various towns in Transdanubia to Budapest. Upon arrival at Budapest's Népliget bus station, you can take metro line M3 to Deák Ferenc tér and then follow the same instructions as above to take tram line 2 and bus number 16. The bus fare typically ranges from 2,000 to 4,000 HUF depending on your departure point.
