Walking
From the center of Vác, head towards the Váci Cathedral. Once you are at the cathedral, turn right onto the street leading to the Váci promenade. Continue straight until you reach the Danube River. You will then need to find the nearest train station, which is Vác Railway Station. From Vác Railway Station, take a train to Budapest, which typically takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Budapest's Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway Station), exit the station and head towards the tram stop outside. Take tram 4 or 6 towards 'Moszkva tér'. After a few stops, get off at 'Clark Ádám tér'. The Budapest Castle Hill Funicular will be right in front of you.

From Vác, make your way to the Vác Railway Station. Purchase a ticket to Budapest. Board a train heading towards Budapest, which will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon reaching Nyugati Pályaudvar, exit the station and walk straight to the tram stop located outside. Board tram line 4 or 6, and ride until you reach the 'Clark Ádám tér' stop. The Budapest Castle Hill Funicular is located just a few steps from the tram stop.
