Getting There

Walking
From the center of Vác, head towards the Váci Train Station. Once at the station, take a train towards Budapest. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Budapest Keleti Pályaudvar (Eastern Railway Station), exit the station and proceed to the nearby metro station. Take Metro Line 2 (the red line) towards Déli Pályaudvar. Get off at the Astoria Station. When you exit the station, walk along Rakóczi út towards Dohány utca. Continue straight until you reach Dohány utca, then turn right. The Dohány Street Synagogue will be on your left at number 2.

Bus
From Vác, walk to the Váci bus station located at the town center. Take a bus towards Budapest, which usually takes about 50 minutes. Get off at the bus stop 'Kálvin tér' in Budapest. From Kálvin tér, walk towards the Kálvin tér Metro Station and take Metro Line 3 (the blue line) towards Újpest-Központ. Get off at the stop ‘Deák Ferenc tér’. Switch to Metro Line 2 (the red line) and head towards Déli Pályaudvar. Get off at Astoria Station. Exit and head towards Rakóczi út, then turn right on Dohány utca. The Dohány Street Synagogue will be on your left at number 2.
