Walking
Start at the central square in Vác, the Váci tér. From there, head towards the bus station located on the corner of Széchenyi utca. Once at the bus station, take the bus to Budapest. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. After arriving at the Budapest bus station, follow the signs to the nearest metro station, which is Deák Ferenc tér. Take Metro Line 2 (the red line) towards Déli pályaudvar and get off at the Széll Kálmán tér station. Transfer to Tram Line 61 towards Gellért Hill and get off at the Szent György tér stop. The National Széchényi Library is a short walk from there, located at Szent György tér 4-5-6.
Bus
From the main square in Vác, walk to the Váci bus station. Board a bus heading to Budapest. Once you arrive at Budapest's bus terminal, find the nearest metro station, which is Deák Ferenc tér. Take Metro Line 2 (red line) towards Déli pályaudvar. Disembark at Széll Kálmán tér, transfer to Tram Line 61 towards Gellért Hill, and get off at Szent György tér. The National Széchényi Library is located at Szent György tér 4-5-6, just a short walk from the tram stop.
