Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Vac city center, specifically at the main square (Fő tér). From there, walk towards the Danube River, following the path along the riverbank until you reach the train station (Vác Vasútállomás). Once at the train station, take a train to Budapest, which typically takes about 30 minutes. Arriving at the Budapest-Nyugati railway station, exit the station and head towards the nearby Nyugati tér. From Nyugati tér, walk towards the Oktogon square, then continue on to Andrássy Avenue until you reach the intersection with Nagymező Street. Turn left onto Nagymező Street, and after a short walk, you will find the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center at number 8 on your right.

    From any point in Vac, make your way to the Vac train station (Váci Vasútállomás). Purchase a ticket to Budapest, and board a train heading towards Budapest. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Budapest-Nyugati railway station, exit the station and walk to the nearby Nyugati tér. From there, take tram number 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. Get off at the Oktogon stop. Walk along Andrássy Avenue until you reach Nagymező Street. Turn left onto Nagymező Street, and you will find the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center at number 8.
