Getting There

Walking
Start from the center of Vác, specifically from the Váci Market Hall. Head southeast on Kossuth Lajos utca towards Széchenyi utca. Continue straight until you reach the main road, then turn left onto Ady Endre utca. Walk straight until you reach the Váci train station, which is about a 15-minute walk. From the station, take the train to Budapest. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.

At the Váci train station, purchase a ticket to Budapest. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic views along the way. After arriving at Budapest Keleti station, exit the station and head to the nearest metro station (Keleti Pályaudvar). Take the M2 metro line (the red line) towards Déli Pályaudvar. Get off at the Deák Ferenc tér station and transfer to the M1 line (the yellow line) towards Mexikói út. Get off at the Opera station and walk northwest towards Rumbach Sebestyén utca. The Rumbach Street Synagogue will be on your left at number 13.

Public Transport (Bus and Metro)
From Vác, take bus number 32 to the nearest train station (Váci train station). Once there, take the train to Budapest. After arriving at Budapest Keleti station, take bus number 7 from the station to the Blaha Lujza tér stop. From Blaha Lujza tér, walk to the nearest metro station (Blaha Lujza tér metro station) and take the M2 line (red line) towards Déli Pályaudvar. Get off at Deák Ferenc tér, then transfer to the M1 line (yellow line) and get off at the Opera station. Walk northwest on Andrássy út and turn left onto Rumbach Sebestyén utca. The synagogue will be on your left.
