Train
From Vac, walk to the Vac train station, which is located at Báthory utca 1. Once there, purchase a ticket to Budapest. The train ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. After arriving at Budapest-Nyugati station, exit the station and take the tram number 4 or 6 towards Moszkva tér. Get off at the Széll Kálmán tér station, then transfer to tram number 19 towards Szent Gellért tér. Get off at the last stop at Szent Gellért tér, walk towards the river, cross the bridge, and continue straight until you reach Apród utca 1-3, where the Semmelweis Museum is located.
Bus
From Vac, head to the bus station located at the town center. Take the bus to Budapest, which typically takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive at the bus station in Budapest, you can either walk or take public transport. If walking, head towards the M2 subway station at Deák Ferenc tér, take the subway towards Déli pályaudvar, and get off at the end of the line. From there, walk to the Semmelweis Museum located at Apród utca 1-3.
Bicycle
For those feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Vac and take the scenic route to Budapest. Start from the town center and follow the bike path along the Danube River, heading south towards Budapest. The distance is about 30 km and will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on your cycling speed. Upon reaching Budapest, navigate towards the city center and follow the signs to District I, where the Semmelweis Museum is located at Apród utca 1-3.
Walking
If you are already in central Vac, simply walk towards the train station (Báthory utca 1) and take the train to Budapest. Upon arrival at Budapest-Nyugati, exit the station and follow the tram instructions as mentioned above. This option combines walking and public transport to ensure you can experience the city comfortably.
