Public Transport
To get to Szent Gellért tér in Budapest from Vác, start by walking to the Vác train station (Váci Pályaudvar). Once there, purchase a ticket to Budapest Nyugati Railway Station. This train journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Nyugati, exit the station and head to the tram stop located outside. Board tram number 4 or 6 towards 'Móricz Zsigmond körtér'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Szent Gellért tér' stop. You will find the square right in front of you.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from a central location in Vác, head towards the main square (Dísz tér). From there, find the road leading south towards the Danube River. Follow the riverbank until you reach the Váci train station. From there, you can take the train as described above. The walk to the train station will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Vác and cycle along the Danube River towards Budapest. The route is scenic and takes you through some beautiful landscapes. It is approximately a 30 km ride to Szent Gellért tér, so be prepared for a longer journey. Once you arrive in Budapest, navigate towards the city center, and you can follow the signs to Szent Gellért tér.
