Getting There

Walking
From the center of Vác, head south on Kossuth Lajos utca towards the Danube River. Continue straight until you reach the riverbank. Turn right onto the river promenade and walk along the path. After approximately 1 km, you will reach the Váci Bridge. Cross the bridge to enter Budapest. Once in Budapest, continue walking straight until you reach Széchenyi István tér, which is located just a few blocks away. The square is a significant landmark in the city.

Public Transport - Train
Start at the Vác train station, which is located in the center of Vác. Purchase a ticket to Budapest Nyugati station. Trains run frequently, typically every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Nyugati station, exit the station and walk towards the main entrance. From there, you can either take a tram or walk: for the tram, catch line 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér and get off at the Oktogon stop. From Oktogon, it's a short walk to Széchenyi István tér.

From Vác, take the bus line 200E towards Budapest. Get off at the final stop at the Kőbánya-Kispest metro station. From there, take metro line M3 (the blue line) towards Újpest-Központ. Change at Deák Ferenc tér to metro line M1 (the yellow line) towards Mexikói út. Get off at the next stop, which is the Széchenyi István tér. You will find the square easily from the station exit.
