Walking
From the center of Vác, head south towards the Váci train station. Once there, take a train to Budapest. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Budapest's Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station), exit the station and head towards the M3 metro line. Take the metro towards Kőbánya-Kispest and get off at the Deák Ferenc tér stop. Here, transfer to the M2 metro line and head towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at Déli pályaudvar. From there, you can walk to the Turul statue located in District I. Follow the signs leading towards the Buda Castle area, and the statue will be visible nearby.
Public Transport
Starting from Váci town center, walk to the Váci train station and board a train to Budapest. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at Nyugati pályaudvar. From Nyugati, take tram number 4 or 6 towards Széll Kálmán tér. Get off at Széll Kálmán tér and transfer to the M2 metro line. Take the metro towards Déli pályaudvar and get off at the Déli pályaudvar station. The Turul statue is a short walk from there; follow the signs towards Buda Castle.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Vác to Budapest. You can find a taxi stand at various locations in Vác. Simply tell the driver to take you to the Turul statue in District I. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your trip.
