Bus
From Veszprém city center, take the bus number 8 or 9 towards Balatonalmádi. You can catch the bus at the Veszprém Bus Station. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Badacsonytomaj stop. Once you arrive at Badacsonytomaj, follow the signs to Badacsony peak, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
Train and Bus
First, head to the Veszprém Train Station. Take a train towards Tapolca. The train journey lasts about 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Tapolca, head to the nearby bus station and catch a bus heading to Badacsonytomaj. The bus ride from Tapolca to Badacsonytomaj will take around 15-20 minutes. When you get off at the Badacsonytomaj stop, follow the signs to the Badacsony peak, which is about a 15-minute walk.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to enjoy a scenic route, you can walk to Badacsonytomaj from Veszprém. Start at the Veszprém Castle area and head southwest towards the main road (Route 71). Follow Route 71 for about 10 kilometers, which will take approximately 2-3 hours of walking. Once you reach Badacsonytomaj, you can easily find your way to Badacsony peak by following the local trails.
