Bus
From Veszprém, head to the Veszprém Bus Station (Veszprém autóbusz-állomás). You can take bus number 86 towards Tihany. The journey takes approximately 30-35 minutes. Once you arrive at the Tihany bus stop, you will find yourself at the entrance of the village. From there, follow the signs towards I. András tér, which is a 15-minute walk uphill. As you walk, take in the beautiful views of Lake Balaton.

Ferry
From Veszprém, you can take a bus to the nearby town of Balatonfüred (Bus number 83 or 86). Upon arriving at Balatonfüred, head to the Balatonfüred ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Tihany, which offers scenic views of Lake Balaton. Once you disembark at the Tihany ferry terminal, follow the signs to I. András tér, which is a short 10-15 minute walk uphill.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Veszprém. Head towards the cycling paths leading to Tihany, which is approximately a 12 km ride. The route is scenic, taking you through beautiful countryside and along the shores of Lake Balaton. Follow the signs to Tihany and upon arriving, make your way to I. András tér, where Tihanyi Bencés Apátság is located.

Walking
For the more adventurous, start from Veszprém and walk towards Tihany. It is approximately a 16 km trek, taking about 3-4 hours. You can take the route via the scenic trails that lead through the hills overlooking Lake Balaton. Follow the trail signs towards Tihany and make your way to I. András tér, the location of the Tihanyi Bencés Apátság.
