    If you are traveling by car from Western Transdanubia to Buda Castle, first locate and get onto the M1 motorway heading towards Budapest. Follow the signs for Budapest for about 90 kilometers. As you approach the city, continue on the M0 ring road to avoid heavy traffic in the city center. Take the exit for Szentendrei út (Road 11) and follow the signs towards the city center. Once in the city, follow the signs for Castle District (Várnegyed) and park at one of the nearby parking facilities, such as the parking garage at Clark Ádám Square (fee applies). From there, it’s a short walk to Buda Castle located at Szent György tér, 1014 Budapest.

    To reach Buda Castle using public transportation, start by taking a train from your location in Western Transdanubia to Budapest. The most convenient train station in Budapest is Nyugati Railway Station. From Nyugati, take Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest, and get off at Deák Ferenc tér. At Deák Ferenc tér, transfer to Metro Line 1 (Yellow Line) towards Mexikói út and get off at Vörösmarty tér. From Vörösmarty tér, walk to the nearby bus stop and take Bus 16 or 16A towards the Castle District. Alight at the 'Szentháromság tér' stop. Buda Castle is a short walk from there. Make sure to check local schedules for train and bus times, and be prepared for a small fee for both the train and bus.
