Car
If you are traveling by car, you can start your journey from the town of Sátoraljaújhely. From there, take Route 37 towards the village of Háromhuta. After approximately 20 km, you will reach Háromhuta. Upon entering the village, follow the signs towards the hiking trails. There is parking available near the trailhead, but be sure to arrive early to secure a spot, especially during peak tourist seasons.
Public Transportation
To reach Sólyom-bérc via public transportation, first take a train or bus to Sátoraljaújhely. From Sátoraljaújhely, you can take a regional bus towards Háromhuta. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to check the local bus schedules in advance, as services may be limited on weekends and holidays. Once you arrive in Háromhuta, follow the signs to the hiking trails to reach Sólyom-bérc.
Hiking
After you reach Háromhuta, the trailhead to Sólyom-bérc is well-marked. The hike to Sólyom-bérc is approximately 3 km and takes about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace. The trail is moderate in difficulty and provides stunning views of the surrounding Zemplén Mountains. Ensure you wear good hiking shoes and carry enough water and snacks for the journey.
