If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Szerencs, which is a central location in the Zemplen Mountains. Take Route 37 towards Miskolc. After approximately 20 kilometers, merge onto Route 26 towards Budapest. Continue on Route 26 for about 50 kilometers, then take the exit towards Budapest. Follow signs for District II. Var-hegy is located at coordinates 47.55 latitude and 18.97 longitude. There is parking available at the foot of the mountain.

Once in Budapest, navigate to the Móricz Zsigmond körtér metro station (Line 4). From there, take bus number 29 towards Káposztásmegyer. Get off at the Var-hegy stop. The mountain is within walking distance from the bus stop, approximately a 10-minute walk up a well-marked trail.
