    From downtown Akureyri, head east on Hafnarstræti towards the main road (Route 1). After approximately 3 km, merge onto Route 1. Continue for about 27 km until you reach the junction for Route 848. Take the exit towards Skútustaðir and follow Route 848 for about 5 km. The destination will be on your left. Look for signs indicating Skútustaðir.
