Car
From downtown Akureyri, head east on Hafnarstræti towards the main road (Route 1). After approximately 3 km, merge onto Route 1. Continue for about 27 km until you reach the junction for Route 848. Take the exit towards Skútustaðir and follow Route 848 for about 5 km. The destination will be on your left. Look for signs indicating Skútustaðir.
Public Transportation
From Akureyri, find the bus terminal near the city center. Take bus number 57, which heads towards Mývatn. The journey will take around 45 minutes. Make sure to inform the bus driver or check the route to ensure you're heading towards Skútustaðir. Get off at the Skútustaðir stop. Once you alight, follow the signs to the attractions in the area, which will be within walking distance.
