Walking
Start from the Akureyri city center, ideally near the Akureyri Art Museum. Head southeast on Hafnarstræti street towards the intersection with Kjarvalsgata. Turn right onto Kjarvalsgata and continue straight until you reach the junction with Strandgata. Turn left onto Strandgata, which will become Hjalteyrarvegur. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers, passing by scenic views and local shops. Eventually, you will reach a small roundabout. Take the second exit onto Kaupangur street, and Mikligarður will be located at JXWG+32C, 605 Kaupangur, on your right.
Public Transport
From the central bus station (Strætó station) in Akureyri, take bus number 1 towards 'Kaupangur'. The bus will take you directly to Kaupangur. After disembarking at the Kaupangur stop, walk south along the main road for approximately 500 meters. Mikligarður is located at JXWG+32C, 605 Kaupangur, which should be on your left.
