Once across, continue straight on Route 1 (Þjóðvegur 1) for about 7 km. You will see signs for Barnafoss, which will lead you to a turn-off on the right. Follow the signs to the parking area near the waterfall.

    From Borgarnes, walk to the nearest bus stop at Borgarbraut. Take the bus heading towards Reykjavik. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at the stop for Barnafoss. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. After getting off, follow the signs to the waterfall which is a short walk from the bus stop.
