Walking
From the center of Borgarnes, start at the Borgarnes Swimming Pool (Sundlaug Borgarness) located on Sæbólsvegur street. Head south towards the main road (Borgarvegi). Once at Borgarvegi, turn left and walk along the road, following the signs towards Raufarnes. Continue walking for about 3.5 kilometers, which will take approximately 45 minutes on foot. Along the route, enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding landscapes and the coastline. As you approach Raufarnes, look out for the historical landmark which will be on your left-hand side.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Borgarnes. Start your journey at the Borgarnes Swimming Pool (Sundlaug Borgarness) and head south towards Borgarvegi. Turn left onto Borgarvegi and cycle for approximately 3.5 kilometers. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow road safety rules. Enjoy the ride and take in the beautiful views as you make your way to Raufarnes.
