Fantastic Tour and an Exceptional Guide – Thank You, Vjeran!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We are just finishing the 6-day Bus Travel Iceland tour, which was part of our 8-day trip booked through Guide to Iceland, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly our guide and driver, Vjeran. From the very first day, he impressed us with his professionalism, kindness, and incredible driving skills. We always felt completely safe and comfortable, no matter the road or weather conditions. His knowledge of Iceland, its history, culture, and nature added so much value to every stop along the way. What made Vjeran truly special was his ability to connect with people. Our group consisted of 17 travelers from different countries and backgrounds, and he made a genuine effort to bring everyone together. Thanks to his warmth, humor, and positive energy, we quickly went from being strangers to sharing laughs, conversations, and unforgettable memories. Vjeran was always helpful, approachable, and enthusiastic. He clearly loves what he does, and that passion was reflected in every aspect of the tour. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone had the best possible experience and felt included. Iceland is an extraordinary destination, but having a guide like Vjeran made the journey even more memorable. A huge thank you to him for six fantastic days. I would highly recommend it. The walk from the bus to the Falls is not strenuous and nearly anyone could make it. It is a spectacular sight.

Akureyri Express Whale Watching by RIB boat

Whales and Whales!

We visited Akureyri by cruise ship but booked this independently with Elding. We had a great time. The RIB boat seats 12 so everyone has a good view, and they supply thermal suits for the cold. They also have goggles and gloves if you didnt have your own. We were able to see 7 or 8 whales- humpbacks, minkes and possibly a sei whlae. The guide was spotting, as was the captian, but he also was taking photos which they will email to you if you request them. The RIB boats are bouncy so be prepared for that if you are motion sensitive ( I am but with pre treatment with Bonine, had no issues). We definitely recommend this tour and would do it again were we to be in Akureyri in the future
