Car
If you are driving, start from the Dynjandi Waterfall parking area. Get onto the road that leads away from the waterfall, turning onto Route 60. Follow Route 60 for about 4 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 63. Turn left onto Route 63, and continue for another 2 kilometers. Look for a small parking area on your right side near the trailhead to Bæjarfoss. The walking trail begins here and will lead you to the waterfall.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transport, check for local bus services that operate in the Westfjords region. Take a bus heading towards Þingeyri from the nearest bus stop to Dynjandi. Inform the driver that you wish to disembark at the stop for Bæjarfoss. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach the entrance of the walking trail that leads to Bæjarfoss. Follow the signs that indicate the trail.

For those who prefer to walk, you can start your journey directly from the Dynjandi Waterfall. The walking trail to Bæjarfoss is well-marked. Head back along the path you arrived on from the waterfall and then follow the signs directing you towards Bæjarfoss. The walk is approximately 3 kilometers and will take about 1 hour, depending on your pace and the terrain. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes as the trail can be uneven.
