Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, start from Egilsstaðir, the largest town in the Eastern Region. Head west on Route 1 (the Ring Road) for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 93. Turn onto Route 93 and continue for about 11 kilometers. Then, take a left onto a gravel road that leads towards Grafarlandsfoss. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the waterfall. Be aware that this road may require a medium-sized 4x4 vehicle due to its condition.

Public Transportation

If using public transportation, take a bus from Egilsstaðir towards Seyðisfjörður. You will need to get off at the stop nearest to Grafarlandsfoss, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the waterfall. From there, you will need to walk or arrange for a pickup to take you to the waterfall. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as services may be limited.

Walking

If you are already near Grafarlandsfoss and wish to walk, follow the marked trails that lead from the parking area. The walk to the waterfall is approximately 1 kilometer and offers scenic views along the way. Ensure you wear sturdy shoes as the terrain can be uneven.
