If you're driving from Fimmvorduhals Pass to Sagnheimar, first head southwest on Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards Hvolsvöllur. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the town of Hvolsvöllur. Here, you'll take Route 261 towards Vestmannaeyjar. After approximately 45 km, you will arrive at the port of Landeyjahöfn. From there, you’ll need to take a ferry to Vestmannaeyjar, which costs around ISK 3,500 for a one-way trip. Once you arrive in Vestmannaeyjar, Sagnheimar is just a short drive away. Follow the signs towards the center of Vestmannaeyjar, and you will find Sagnheimar at 900 Vestmannaeyjabær.

To reach Sagnheimar using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Fimmvorduhals Pass to Hvolsvöllur. The bus service typically operates several times a day, so be sure to check the schedule. Once you arrive in Hvolsvöllur, you will need to transfer to a bus heading to Landeyjahöfn. After reaching Landeyjahöfn, take the ferry to Vestmannaeyjar. The ferry ride costs approximately ISK 3,500. Upon arrival at Vestmannaeyjar, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Sagnheimar, which is conveniently located in the town.
