Walking
From the center of Grindavik, head south on Aðalgata street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Suðurstrandarvegur. Turn left onto Suðurstrandarvegur, and follow the road for about 1.5 kilometers. You will notice signs directing you to Fagradalsfjall Volcano. The trailhead will be on your right, where you will see a parking area and information signs.
Bicycle
If you have a bicycle, start from the center of Grindavik and ride south on Aðalgata street. At the intersection with Suðurstrandarvegur, turn left. Continue straight on Suðurstrandarvegur for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Be cautious as the road can be busy. You will find the entrance to the Fagradalsfjall Volcano hiking area on your right.
Public Transport (Bus)
Check the local bus schedule for routes heading towards Suðurstrandarvegur. Board the bus at the nearest stop to your location in Grindavik. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Fagradalsfjall Volcano. Once you get off, walk back a short distance to the trailhead, which will be well-marked.
