Walking
From the center of Grindavik, start at the Bus Station located on Sundabraut. Head southeast on Sundabraut towards the intersection with Hólar. Turn left onto Hólar and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Hvalnes. Turn right onto Hvalnes and follow the road for approximately 3.5 kilometers. Hvalsneskirkja will be on your left at the address Hvalnes, 246. It is a beautiful church set against the scenic backdrop of the Icelandic landscape.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Grindavik. Start at the main square in Grindavik and head towards Sundabraut. Cycle southeast until you reach the intersection with Hólar, then turn left onto Hólar. Continue cycling straight until you reach Hvalnes, where you will turn right. Hvalsneskirkja is about 3.5 kilometers down Hvalnes on your left. Enjoy the views along the way!

Check the local bus schedule for any buses that might be heading towards Hvalnes. You can catch a bus from the Grindavik Bus Station on Sundabraut. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when to get off for Hvalsneskirkja, as it may not be a direct route. After disembarking, walk back a short distance to find the church located at Hvalnes, 246.
