Walking
From the center of Hafnarfjordur, head towards the main road, Suðurgata. Turn left onto Suðurgata and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Strandgata. Continue straight on Strandgata, which will eventually lead you to the coastal path. Follow the coastal path southwards, enjoying the scenic view of the ocean. After about a 25-minute walk, you will arrive at Sandvík beach, which is known for its beautiful landscape.
Public Bus
From the Hafnarfjordur bus terminal, take bus number 1 towards Reykjavík. Get off at the stop named 'Hafnarfjörður Ráðhúsið'. From there, transfer to bus number 14 heading towards 'Sundlaug Hafnarfjarðar'. Get off at 'Sandvík' stop. The beach is a short walk from the bus stop, and you will easily spot the beach once you exit the bus.
