From Hafnarfjörður, walk to the nearest bus stop (e.g., 'Hafnarfjörður - Fjarðargata'). Take Bus 1 towards 'Reykjavik'. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at 'Garðabær - Kaldalón'. From there, transfer to Bus 35 towards 'Garðabær - Varmaland'. After about 15 minutes, disembark at the stop 'Garðabær - Kaldalón'. Búrfell is approximately a 15-minute walk from this stop. Head northeast on Kaldalón, then take a left onto Nýjaberg, continue straight until you reach the landmark.

If you are already in the vicinity of Búrfell in Garðabær, you can walk there. Starting from the Garðabær town center, head north on the main road towards Álfgrímsvegur. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Búrfellsvegur. Turn left onto Búrfellsvegur, and follow the road until you see the Búrfell landmark on your right.
