Car
If you're traveling by car, drive towards the Vatnajökull National Park. From the main road (Route 1), take Route 998 towards Skaftafell. Continue on Route 998 for about 12 km until you reach the parking area for Svartifoss. The parking lot is well-marked and has ample space for vehicles. Note that there may be a parking fee of around 1,000 ISK (approximately $7 USD) that you will need to pay upon arrival.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Höfn or Skaftafell. The bus service is operated by various companies, and you can check the schedules online. Once you arrive at Skaftafell, you will need to hike approximately 1.5 km to reach Svartifoss. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views along the way. Hiking
After reaching the parking area (if driving) or the Skaftafell Visitor Center (if using public transport), you will need to hike to Svartifoss.
