Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Húsavík, start at the Húsavík Whale Museum, located on Garðarsbraut street, which is a popular landmark. From the museum, head northeast on Garðarsbraut for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Aðalstræti. Turn left onto Aðalstræti and continue walking for another 300 meters. You will see the harbor on your right. Follow the road as it curves to the right, and you will find the Husavik port at the end of the street, directly by the water.

    If you are near the Húsavík Church (Húsavíkurkirkja), exit the church and head southeast on Húsavíkurvegur. After about 300 meters, turn left onto Aðalstræti. Continue walking for another 400 meters, and you will arrive at the Husavik port.

    From the Húsavík Swimming Pool (Sundlaug Húsavíkur), exit the pool and head southwest on Þjóðvegur. Walk for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Aðalstræti. Turn right onto Aðalstræti and walk straight for about 200 meters. The Husavik port will be on your left.
