    If you are driving from the Hveragerði area, head northwest on Route 1 (Þjóðvegur 1) towards Reykjavík. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 45 kilometers. Take the exit toward Kringlumýrabraut and follow it until you reach the intersection with Tryggvagata. Turn left onto Tryggvagata. Kolaportið will be on your left at Tryggvagötu 19, Old Harbour Grófin, Reykjavík. There is usually street parking available nearby but be mindful of parking regulations.

    To reach Kolaportið using public transport, start by taking a bus from Hveragerði. You can take the bus number 51 towards Reykjavík. The journey will take about 40-50 minutes. Get off at the 'Hlemmur' bus stop in Reykjavík. From there, transfer to bus number 1 or 15 and continue to the 'Tryggvagata' stop. Once you get off, walk a short distance to Tryggvagötu 19, where Kolaportið is located. The total cost for the bus ride is approximately 1,500 ISK for a one-way ticket.
