Start from the center of Hveragerdi, specifically from the Hveragerdi town square. Head northwest on the main road (Þjóðvegur) towards the intersection with the road heading to Selfoss. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the sign for Faxafoss. You'll pass some local shops and cafes along the way, which can be great for a quick stop. Once you see the sign, turn left and follow the pathway leading to the Faxafoss waterfall, which is approximately another 500 meters from the turn.
