Start at the center of Hveragerdi, near the main bus station. Head northeast on Þjóðvegur (Route 1) for about 1.5 km until you reach the first major intersection. At the intersection, turn left onto Hveragerðisvegur. Continue walking straight for approximately 1 km until you see a sign for Öxarárfoss. Follow the signs through the scenic paths that lead you approximately another 1 km to Öxarárfoss, which is located within Thingvellir National Park.
