Start your journey from the center of Ísafjörður. Walk towards the main road, Strandgata, and head northwest. Continue walking along Strandgata until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Hafnarstræti. Follow Hafnarstræti until you reach the intersection with Hlífargata. Turn left onto Hlífargata and walk until you reach the end of the road, where you will find a path leading towards the hills. Follow this path and keep an eye out for signs indicating the trail to Valagil Waterfall. The hike will take about 1-2 hours depending on your pace.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Ísafjörður. Start at the town center and ride along Strandgata heading northwest. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Hafnarstræti. Continue on Hafnarstræti until you reach Hlífargata and take a left. Be prepared for some uphill sections as you make your way to the waterfall, which may take around 1 hour.
