Bus
From the center of Keflavik, walk to the nearest bus stop (e.g., 'Keflavik Center'). Board the bus heading towards Reykjanesbær. You should check the bus schedule for the next departure. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes, and get off at the stop named 'Keilir'. From the bus stop, walk towards the mountain peak visible in the distance. The walk from the bus stop to the base of Keilir will take approximately 10 minutes.
Walking
If you are near the Keflavik town center, you can walk to Keilir. Head east on Hafnargata until you reach the intersection with Reykjanesbraut (Route 41). Turn left onto Reykjanesbraut and continue walking for about 2 kilometers. You will see Keilir in the distance. Follow the path leading up to the mountain, which is clearly marked. The total walking time will be approximately 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.
